Our home from home environment uses natural resources that engage children and ignite curiosity and wonder while our large garden creates calm and tranquillity.
Our rooms are created to support the needs of our babies, toddlers and preschoolers and our team adapt areas in line with the children鈥檚 interests.
Children eat healthy meals together in smaller groups with opportunities to assist with serving.
We understand that every child is different, that鈥檚 why our hybrid approach to education allows children to grow and learn at a pace that鈥檚 right for them.
Healthy snacks and delicious fresh food are cooked every day by our onsite chef using local and seasonal produce when we can.
We promote independence as children assist with putting out placemats and cutlery, pour their own drink and self-serve. Older children also have opportunities to assist our chef with cooking and baking.
Every day at Old Crofts Bank we encourage children to be inquisitive and creative in our wonderful learning environment. In doing so, they soon develop a real love of learning and a curious mind.
Our experienced team come with a wealth of early years learning insight with many of them having been with us for over 10 years and with advanced qualifications and training. 聽Our setting offers so many learning opportunities for children and our beautiful garden allows them to play, imagine and explore.

There are different learning through play activities each day which help her to build confidence, skills and knowledge. The food menu is great, varied and nutritious.
The staff are friendly and caring and give excellent feedback. I am happy knowing he is happy.
This is my second child at the nursery and I only have good things to say. All the staff are lovely and approachable. They take care of the children as if they were their own. My eldest enjoyed it there for 4 years and my youngest has just started and they have made the transition for her very easy. The meals they provide are varied and healthy. They do lots of fun activities all day every day. Communication is great either in person or via the app. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.
The effort that goes into his care and development is brilliant. He loves going to nursery and always has lots to say about what he's been up to every day. My daughter also attended here from 2 years old until she started school and settled in straight away. The nursery has always felt like a second home to us all and I highly recommend it to anyone.
Our educators create opportunities for sensory discovery and gentle play for our youngest children, including time to explore their very own play area. We help your baby learn and develop new skills, from standing to walking and talking.
After a busy morning of exploring and learning, there鈥檚 time to recharge. We know how important naps are, and make sure that when they need it, children can sleep.
As their story begins to take shape, growing toddlers are given the time and space to be more independent, discover and learn. Children make friends, learn to play alongside each other and become more aware of the world around them. Our experienced educators encourage language development too, starting with simple sounds and building to sentences.
Our toddler spaces are adapted to suit the needs and interests of children, exploring their imagination with lots of opportunities for creative play. As toddlers grow, activities continue to extend their learning, skills, independence and confidence. Social skills and peer relationships are also developed through group activities and during mealtimes.
With growing confidence and ability, we prepare our preschool children for the learning journey ahead with a focus on phonics, numbers and social skills. Inside the classroom there are lots of continuous provisions and activities are created for children鈥檚 individual needs. There鈥檚 access to our wonderful outdoor area which has more challenging equipment to develop movement and co-ordination and an imaginative knowledge and understanding area.
Children spend their final year at Old Crofts Bank getting ready for primary school. By this time, they have made firm friendships and leave us as independent, curious and confident learners, ready for the next chapter of their own story.
Amidst all that learning, there鈥檚 plenty of time for play with games, creative activities and outdoor fun.
If children prefer some time away from the hustle and bustle, our quiet area is equipped with reading books and spaces to complete homework.
Whether it鈥檚 breakfast to start the day or a hearty meal after school, all of our nutritious food is freshly prepared daily.
